Awards
Cantu Services, Inc. is synonymous with excellence in the performance of military food service contracts. Cantu has won the Hennessy Trophy twice. This award is presented by the Air Force to recognize the top Food Service operations in both the single and multi-unit categories. The first win was at Chanute AFB, Illinois in 1988 with the second at Keesler AFB, Mississippi in 1989.
Cantu also won the equivalent award presented by the Army, the Phillip A. Connelly Award— twice. These wins were at Fort Sill, Oklahoma in 1990 and 2001. Cantu, along with its teaming partners, the State of Oklahoma and Swanson Services, Inc. received a third Connelly award for the Fort Sill operation in 2002, and was runner-up in the 2004 competition.
In 2007 and 2008, Cantu and its teaming partners competed for both the Hennessy and Connelly awards as shown below:
